BIM

What’s involved?

Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) is a method that uses BIM to maximise performance when it comes to managing the design and construction processes.

VDC is closely linked to the BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodology. In fact, VDC technology uses 3D BIM models and other information to digitally plan all aspects of a construction project (estimating costs, planning and risk management).

BIM means that data can be generated and managed during the design, construction and operation processes, integrating multidisciplinary data to create detailed digital representations.

How can CoCEPTIO help you?

Our BIM team can help you from the design stage right through to maintenance.

We can take care of:

  • BIM Assessment;
  • BIM Execution Plans;
  • LOD Matrix;
  • 3D Coordination Models;
  • 3D BIM models for all disciplines;
  • ISO 19650 compliance;
  • A Virtual Reality tour

The benefits of using these two methods:

  • Significant increase in communication between teams;
  • Improved strategic planning for projects;
  • Improved efficiency and productivity;
  • More accurate cost analysis;
  • Improved health and safety on site;
  • Improved management of installations;
  • Ability to visualise the project;
  • Optimised construction process;
  • Clash Detection;
  • Savings in the maintenance phase;
